David G. Brown - Owner Engineer

David is an accomplished A1 Audio Engineer with roots in the Southeast Virginia music scene.  He began working professionally in the late 90’s, toward the end of the analog era, mostly within Virginia Beach’s venerable Master Sound Studios.  There, he refined his ear under the expert tutelage of veteran mix engineer, Rob Ulsh.  He was involved in projects with/by/for Pharrell Williams (The Neptunes), Busta Rhymes, Clipse, Little Kim, and many more.

In 2003, David joined the production crew at Coastal Training Technologies, Corp (now DuPont Sustainable Solutions).  While continuing to produce and perform music, he expanded his talents to include post audio for video, sound design, field audio, and high-end voice production.  At Coastal, he recorded and mixed over 160 video titles and interactive training products.

In 2006, David relocated to San Antonio, Texas where he continued to provide audio consulting, mixing, and mastering services.  Two years later, he officially opened Lost in Sound Recordings Studios.

As a freelance Engineer, David provides mixing, consulting, install, and technical services for numerous local businesses - including recording studios, live music venues, and houses of worship.  He’s mixed countless live performances and numerous festival events.  He has been the lead Audio Engineer and Voice Producer for Intertek Alchemy Systems since 2009, generating top quality interactive training with a focus on food manufacturing, handling, and safety.  He also serves as the Broadcast A1 and Post Production Mix Engineer in USAA’s internal Digital Media Center, serving USAA’s 37k employees and 13.5 million members.

David’s passion for music and the emotional impact of sound is evident in his every action.  He strives every day to refine his craft and provide effortlessly clean and impactful audio to his large family of VIP clients.
